Forty Titans Become Four-Year Letterwinners

Forty four-year letterwinners were among nearly 500 UW-Oshkosh student-athletes who earned a varsity letter for their performance in one or more sports during the 2022-23 academic year.

Jared Costa was selected as the inaugural head women’s and the next assistant men’s wrestling coach at UW-Oshkosh. Assistant Chancellor, Athletics Darryl Sims made the announcement Wednesday (July 12) following a national search.

Beau Yineman and Luc Valdez represented the UW-Oshkosh Titans wrestling squad on the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) 2022-23 Scholar All-America Team and Individual honorees list. The NWCA made the announcement on March 30, 2023.

At day one of the Upper Midwest Regionals, the UW-Oshkosh Titans are advancing four to the second day of competition. The Titans are in a tie for ninth place out of 18 teams competing at the regional.

The UW-Oshkosh Titans wrestling program will compete at the Upper Midwest Regionals on February 24 and February 25. Action is set to start at 12 p.m. on February 24 and at 11 a.m. on February 25 as Concordia University-Wisconsin is set to host action.
Valdez Named Max Sparger Scholar-Athlete

Luc Valdez has earned the 2023 Max Sparger Men’s Scholar-Athlete Award from the WIAC. Valdez is the first Titan to be honored since the 2011-2012 season (Zach Mueller).

The Titans claimed three victories as the UW-Oshkosh Titans fell to the nationally ranked Auggies of Augsburg University. The Titans fell 36-10 to the Auggies in Albee Hall this afternoon.
