Titans to Compete at Upper Midwest Regionals

OSHKOSH, Wis.—The UW-Oshkosh Titans wrestling program will compete at the Upper Midwest Regionals on February 24 and February 25. Action is set to start at 12 p.m. on February 24 and at 11 a.m. on February 25 as Concordia University-Wisconsin is set to host action.  

Ticket information, live results, and live video coverage of the tournament can be found here. The Titans will be one of 19 teams to compete and one of six ranked teams at the regional.

At the WIAC Championships on February 21, the Titans crowned two champions. Luc Valdez claimed the 125 crown while Beau Yineman took the 197 crown for the third consecutive year.

Valdez was also named the Max Sparger Scholar-Athlete Recipient by the WIAC.

In the NWCA rankings released on February 2, the Titans are tied for 21st in the team tournament rankings. Yineman is ranked No. 2 at 197-lbs. in the national rankings.

In the individual regional rankings, Yineman holds the top spot in the Upper Midwest rankings. Valdez is ranked No. 2 in the Upper Midwest while Denis Murphy (133) makes an appearance at No. 5 in the region.

In the Open Mat team rankings, the Titans sit at No. 25. Individually, Yineman holds the top spot at 197.

In the D3wrestle rankings, released on February 16, the Titans have two wrestlers in the rankings. Yineman leads all wrestlers at 197 while Valdez is an honorable mention at 125.
