4x400 Relay Squad Breaks School Record at Augustana

ROCK ISLAND, Ill.- In the final meet of the season before the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships, the UW-Oshkosh men's track and field team set a school record and won three events at the Augustana College (Ill.) Midwest Twilight on Thursday (May 18).

Track Event Results

The 4x400-meter relay team set a new school record with a fourth place, 3:11.39 finish. Junior Rashaad Henderson and sophomore Ryan Potter were members of the team that set the record last year and on this year's record-breaking team.

Junior Joe Kehoe won the unseeded 5,000-meter run in 15:31.23, his fastest time this season.

The 4x100-meter relay 'A' squad also won their event, finishing in 40.47 seconds.

In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, sophomore Jake Krause won with a time of 9:02.72. His time is a new personal record and is the fifth-fastest in school history.

Senior John Ford set a personal record in the 400-meter hurdles with a second place time of 53.18 seconds. His finish is also the sixth-fastest time in school history.

Finishing fifth in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 3:56.58 was senior Andrew Rathkamp

Field Event Results

Sophomore Zach Zirgibel finished the pole vault with a personal season best height of 15' 11.75" (4.87m) for second place.

With a long jump of 23' (7.01m), sophomore AK Toheeb-Lawal grabbed third.

Looking Forward

The Titans will await the NCAA to release their qualifying list for the Division III Outdoor Championships on Friday (May 19). The national meet will be held at the Polisseni Track and Field Complex in Rochester, N.Y.
