Titans Compete at Dick & Mary Johnson Invitational, Win Three Events

EAU CLAIRE, Wis.- Competing at the unscored UW-Eau Claire Dick & Mary Johnson Invitational on Friday (April 28), the UW-Oshkosh men's track and field team won three events.

Track Event Results

The 4x100-meter relay squad won with a 41.73 second time.

With a time of 3:57.11, sophomore Jake Krause won the 1,500-meter run. Freshman Joe Freng grabbed eighth in 4:12.59.

In the 5,000-meter run, sophomore Eli Traeder finished first, running a 15:16.26, a personal season best.

Freshman Devin Williams took second in the 400-meter dash, running a 48.63. Sophomore Jelani Lawson finished fourth in 49.63 seconds.

Sophomore Dwight Hosni led UWO in the 800-meter dash with a second place, 1:57.23 finish. Freshman Cameron Cullen took fifth in 1:59.55 and freshman Owen Bostwick took seventh in 2:01.29.

In the 400-meter hurdles, freshman Fenyx Morningdove took second in 57.05 seconds, a new team season best. Sophomore Weston Lerdal grabbed fifth with a 57.19 second finish and junior Reid Marquardt grabbed sixth with a 57.62 second finish.

Williams finished second in his second event of the day with a 22.16 second time in the 200-meter dash. Graduate student Aaron Richardson and junior Jaylin Boatman followed in fifth and eighth with 22.32 and 22.36 second times.

UWO finished second and third in the 4x400-meter relay with times of 3:40.15 and 3:45.67.

In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, freshman Trent Chadwick finished fourth with a 9:46.82, followed by sophomore Joe Hertel (10:00.23) and freshman Zach Nelson (10:57.49).

After qualifying for the 100-meter dash finals, Diego Villalobos, a junior, took sixth with a time of 11.07 seconds.

Field Event Results

In the shot put, freshman Kieran Maude threw 49' 0 1/4" (14.94m) for second place. He also placed eighth in the discus throw with a 131' 7" (40.11m) cast.

Morningdove took fourth in the javelin throw, finishing the event with a best throw of 147' (44.80m).

Freshman Elijah McCauley placed seventh in the long jump with a best distance of 21' 11" (6.68m).
