McCreary Joins Women’s Volleyball Staff

OSHKOSH, Wis.- Delaney McCreary has joined the UW-Oshkosh women's volleyball staff, as announced by head coach Jon Ellmann.

McCreary comes to the Titans from Division I Northwestern University (Ill.) where she served as the Director of Volleyball Operations since January of 2022. Her duties included assisting in day-to-day operations of the Wildcat volleyball program, including scheduling, team travel, managing social media accounts, content creation and directing the summer volleyball camps.

"It is so rare to find someone who has not only played in the WIAC and worked at various levels including the Big Ten, but most importantly has strong values that align with those of our program," said Ellmann. "Our goal is to provide a second-to-none student-athlete experience and compete at the highest level possible. Del can help us continue to move forward in the pursuit of what is possible for our program. We couldn't be more excited about Del joining our program."

Prior to coming her stint in Evanston, McCreary served as an assistant coach for UW-Green Bay, starting in the role in 2019. She served as an assistant varsity coach with West Bend High School for a year before joining the Phoenix staff. She has coached at the club level for the past eight seasons, most recently the head coach for Adversity Volleyball Club with a previous stop at FC Elite Volleyball Club.

I'm so grateful to Coach Ellmann for this opportunity to come back home and coach in the WIAC," stated McCreary. "I am so thrilled to be joining a program not only with such a rich history of success but also a program that aligns so closely with my values and beliefs as a coach. The culture that the staff has created here is unique and I truly believe that's what sets UW-Oshkosh volleyball apart from other programs. I'm so excited to get to work with this staff. Go Titans!"

McCreary competed for Clarke University (Iowa) in 2014 before transferring to UW-Stevens Point. She then competed for the Pointers from 2015-17. A setter, she played in 67 sets and recorded 415 assists with 155 digs and 20 kills across her three-year career with Stevens Point. She graduated from UW-Stevens Point with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and completed her master's degree in applied leadership at UW-Green Bay in May 2021.

McCreary begins her duties on August 1.
