Titans To Face Athenas In NCAA Quarterfinal

OSHKOSH, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh women's volleyball team will face Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in the NCAA Division III Quarterfinal on Wednesday (Nov. 29).

The Titans (37-1), who earned the top seed when the remaining eight teams were reseeded after the regional rounds concluded, will matchup against the Athenas (25-5), seeded eighth on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Pacific Time.

For the first time since 2009, UW-Oshkosh advanced to the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Tournament after qualifying as an at-large bid.

The Titans hosted the regional rounds in Oshkosh, clearing the first three rounds with 3-0 wins over Greenville University (Ill.) and Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) and a 3-1 win over the University of La Verne (Calif.).

No. 3 New York University and No. 6 University of Northwestern-St. Paul (Minn.) kick off play on Wednesday at 11:30 p.m., followed by No. 2 Juniata College (Pa.) and Trinity University (Texas) at 2 p.m. and No. 4 Hope College (Mich.) and No. 5 Johns Hopkins University (Md.) at 4:30 p.m.

The winner of the UWO-CMS match will play the winner of the Hope-Johns Hopkins on Thursday night (Nov. 30) at 7:30 p.m. after the winners of the NYU-Northwestern and Juniata-Trinity play at 5 p.m.

The winners of the semifinal matches will face off for the national championship after a day off on Saturday (Dec. 2) at 4 p.m.
