Fregien Tapped For Fifth Career WIAC x Kwik Trip Defensive Player of the Week

MADISON, Wis.- Abby Fregien (Jr. • Waukesha) was named the WIAC x Kwik Trip Defensive Player of the Week for the fifth time in her career on Tuesday (Nov. 7) when the conference office announced its weekly list.

Fregien recorded 69 digs during the week, averaging 6.27 per set as the Titans' swept all four opponents to break the previous WIAC win streak record. She registered at least 10 digs in each match, including 23 against Wheaton College (Ill.) on Nov. 4.

She previously earned the honor twice this season and earned a spot for her performance in both the first and last week's of regular season competition in 2022.
