Fregien Tabbed for WIAC x Kwik Trip Volleyball Defensive Athlete of the Week

MADISON, Wis.- Abby Fregien (Jr. • Waukesha) was named WIAC x Kwik Trip Volleyball Defensive Athlete of the Week on Tuesday (Sept. 26) for her performance the week of Sept. 18-24.

Fregien led the No. 3-ranked Titans to a 4-0 record on the road during the week, including a sweep of No. 7-ranked UW-Whitewater on Sept. 20. It was UW-Oshkosh's first sweep of the Warhawks since the 1994 WIAC Tournament title match. She averaged 4.23 digs per set, including 16 against Ripon College (Wis.) and a season-high 24 digs against Aurora University (Ill.), both at the UW-Stevens Point Invitational on Sept. 23.

This is Fregien's fourth conference Defensive Athlete of the Week honor. She earned two in the 2022 season and the first week's nod this season.
