Titans Volleyball Sits at No. 4 in WIAC Preseason; Receives Votes in AVCA National Poll
OSHKOSH, Wis.—Receiving votes in the first American Volleyball Coaches Association Poll (AVCA), the UW-Oshkosh Titans bring a mixture of experience and new talent to the 2022 season.
The Titans open the 2022 season with a trip to Virginia as they compete in the Captains Classic on Sept. 2 and 3. The Titans will open their home slate with a pair of tournaments on September 7 and September 9 and 10. League play starts for the Titans on Sept. 13 as the Titans host the Warhawks of Whitewater in the conference opener before ending September on the road.
Head coach Jon Ellmann enters his fifth season at the helm of the Titan Volleyball squad and is set to return all six starters and the libero from last season.
The Titans were tabbed to finish fourth in the WIAC Preseason Poll, as announced by the conference on August 24.
2021 Honors
Riley Kindt and Carissa Sundholm took home First Team All-WIAC honors last season, while Amelia Hust garnered Honorable Mention status.
The Titans earned the USMC/AVCA Academic Award for the fourth time in the past five season following their academic performance in 2021-22.
