Hunt Earns Long Jump All-America Status In NCAA Championship Opening Day

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.-  UW-Oshkosh women's track & field opened the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship with an All-American in the long jump and a qualifier for the final round of the 1,500-meter run.

Megan Hunt (Jr. • Lemont, Ill.) earned her first career All-America with a 5.75-meter distance in the long jump for seventh place. The mark tied her career best.

Amelia Lehman (Jr. • Oshkosh) will run in her fourth final round of the 1,500-meter run on Saturday after placing ninth in Thursday's preliminary at 4:34.00. She earned All-America status at the 2023 and 2024 indoor meets and the 2023 outdoor championship.

Hunt is also competing in the heptathlon that finished the 100-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put and 200-meter dash on Thursday. She currently ranks 15th with 2,775 points.

The Titans will return for the second day of the three-day NCAA Championship on Friday (May 24) at 11 a.m. central time. Brenna Masloroff (Sr. • Franklin) and Cyna Madigan (Jr. • Rosendale) will compete in the shot put and 800-meter run, joining Hunt in the Friday competition.
