Titans Race In Final Qualifiers Before National Championship

The UW-Oshkosh women's track & field team competed in its final meet before the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship this week, running at the North Central College (Ill.) Cardinal Combined on Monday and Tuesday (May 13-14) and the Augustana College (Ill.) Midwest Twilight Qualifier on Wednesday and Thursday (May 15-16).

Megan Hunt (Jr. • Lemont, Ill.) finished second in the heptathlon at the Cardinal Combined on Monday and Tuesday with a career best 4,684 points. She also set personal bests in the 200-meter dash (26.14 seconds) and 800-meter run (2:30.04) while taking first in the lone jump at 5.84 meters.

Cyna Madigan (Jr. • Rosendale) ran a 2:09.20 in the 800-meter run invite, finishing fourth on the event and moving up to fifth in program history. Amelia Lehman (Jr. • Oshkosh) ran in the 800-meter run, taking fifth with a personal best time of 2:18.50.

Julia Steger (Fr. • Kewaskum), Madigan, Olivia Stenzel (So. • Sturgeon Bay) and Maddy LaVoi (Fr. • Ankeny, Iowa) raced in the 4x400-meter relay, placing eighth in 3:49.48.

The NCAA will release the final qualifier list for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship on Friday (May 17) on ncaa.com.
