Titans Compete In La Crosse, Joliet

UW-Oshkosh women's track & field competed in the UW-La Crosse Eagle Open and University of St. Francis (Ill.) Fighting Chance Invite on Friday and Saturday (May 10-11), collecting three event wins and 12 top-eight performances.

Andrea Glaz (Jr. • Oak Creek) took fourth in the final round of the 100-meter dash in La Crosse with a time of 12.65 seconds, followed by Ella Ahlstrand in sixth in 12.67 seconds.

Cyna Madigan (Jr. • Rosendale) won the 800-meter run in 2:13.30 and Libby Geisness (Sr. • Waukesha) ran a 2:15.12 for third place.

In the 200-meter dash, Ahlstrand placed seventh with a finish of 25.51 seconds.

The 4x400-meter relay squad of Madigan, Olivia Stenzel (So. • Sturgeon Bay), Geisness and Maddy LaVoi (Fr. • Ankeny, Iowa) won the event in 3:54.70

In the long jump, Megan Hunt (So. • Lemont, Ill.) jumped 5.52 meters to take third.

Brenna Masloroff (Sr. • Franklin) won the shot put with a 14.26-meter cast and threw 56.13 meters in the hammer throw for second.

Gracie Buchinger (So. • Kimberly) finished fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in Illinois with an 11:04.70 finish and Meygan Benzing (Sr. • Juneau) took seventh at 11:15.73.

Amelia Lehman (Jr. • Oshkosh) ran the 1,500-meter run in 4:27.88 to take fifth place.

The Titans will head to North Central College (Ill.) for the three-day Cardinal Combined on Monday (May 11) and the Augustana College (Ill.) Midwest Twilight Qualifier on Thursday (May 16) for their last meets before the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship in Myrtle Beach, S.C. from May 23-25 at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium.
