Titans Compete At Platteville Invitational

PLATTEVILLE, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh women's track & field team collected 12 top eight finishes at the UW-Platteville Invitational on Friday and Saturday (April 12-13).

In the final round of the 100-meter dash, Ella Ahlstrand (Fr. • Plymouth) took second in 12.52 seconds and Andrea Glaz (Jr. • Oak Creek) raced a 12.80 for fifth.

Maddy LaVoi (Fr. • Ankeny, Iowa) finished the 400-meter dash in 58.01 seconds for second place while jumping to 14th in program history on the event.

Libby Geisness (Sr. • Waukesha) and Emma Maly (Fr. • Clinton) placed in the 800-meter run and 5,000-meter run with a sixth place time of 2:18.11 and a fifth place time of 19:55.44 respectively.

Two Titans, Meygan Benzing (Sr. • Juneau) and Katelyn Puetz (Jr. • Waterford) ran top eight times in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Benzing took third in 11:35.60 and Puetz grabbed eighth in 12:58.86.

Both the relay teams placed second in the respective races with a 49.01-second time for the 4x100-meter relay squad and a 3:55.33 finish for the 4x400-meter relay team.

Haley Kanitz (So. • Menomonee Falls) won the pole vault, clearing 3.38 meters to move from 19th to 12th in program history.

Brenna Masloff (Sr. • Franklin) threw 50.76 meters for second in the hammer throw and 13.42 meters for fourth in the shot put.

The Titans will return to the track on Thursday-Saturday (April 18-20) for the Indiana State Gibson Invitational, UW-La Crosse Phil Esten Challenge, and the Lawrence University Viking Invitational.
