Masloroff Receives All-America Honors On Day One Of NCAA Championship

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.- The first day of the NCAA Division III Women's Indoor Track & Field Championship kicked off in Virginia Beach on Friday (Mar. 8) with Brenna Masloroff earning an All-America nod in the 20-lb. weight throw.

After the first day of competition, the Titans, who are ranked 11th in the nation, have two points and are in 27th place. The current leader of the meet is Loras College (Iowa) with 25 points.

The competition started with the pentathlon, which featured UW-Oshkosh's Megan Hunt (Jr. • Lemont, Ill.). Hunt finished all five events with a score of 3,230 points, taking 13th. Hunt also competed in the long jump, where she jumped 5.19 meters for 17th place.

In the mile run preliminaries, Amelia Lehman (Jr. • Oshkosh) represented the Titans, where she ran a time of 4:55.99, making the final round as the fifth seed. Following the mile, Cyna Madigan (Jr. • Rosendale) competed in the 800-meter run, where she ran 2:11.56, a new personal best, while taking 11th.

Masloroff (Sr. • Franklin) represented Oshkosh in the 20-lb. weight throw, where she threw a distance of 18.24 meters, taking seventh place and receiving her second All-America honor on the event. She will also compete in the shot put on Saturday (Mar. 9).
