Hunt Earns USTFCCCA North Region Field Athlete Of The Year

NEW ORLEANS, La.- Megan Hunt was named the US Track & Field and Cross Country (USTFCCCA) North Region Women's Field Athlete of the Year on Wednesday (Mar. 6).

Hunt (Jr. • Lemont, Ill.), is ranked third nationally in the long jump at 5.92 meters and sixth nationally in the pentathlon with 3,472 points. She scored 16 points in field events at the WIAC Indoor Championships, winning the pentathlon and finishing third in the long jump.

Hunt is the fourth member of the UW-Oshkosh women's track & field team to earn the honor. Deena Heins (2003), Robyn (Jarocki) Hughes (2006) and Terri Schwamb (2007) are the previous award winners.
