Titans Softball Hits Road for Trio of Conference Games

OSHKOSH, Wis.—Hitting the road for a trio of conference games, the nationally-ranked UW-Oshkosh Titans (27-3, 4-2 WIAC) softball squad are set for games at UW-River Falls, UW-Stout, and UW-Stevens Point.

The Titans will face the Falcons of UW-River Falls (14-16, 2-6 WIAC) on April 29 for a doubleheader starting at 2 p.m. in River Falls.

Continuing their trip to the western side of the state, the Titans face the Blue Devils of UW-Stout (8-21, 2-6 WIAC) on April 30. The Titans and Blue Devils are set for first pitch at 12 p.m. at the Alumni Field.

The Titans round out their road swing, facing off against the Pointers of UW-Stevens Point (20-8, 4-4 WIAC) on May 2. The Titans and Pointers will face off in their conference doubleheader starting at 2 p.m. at the McCarty Memorial Field.

Titan Notes

The Titans fell three spots, landing at No. 19 in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association poll. The Titans have remained in the poll since the third poll release this season.

Looking at the stats as of April 27, the Titans are fifth in the nation for win-loss percentage at 0.900. The Titans hold top-10 positions in ERA (1.44) and fielding percentage (0.980) in the nation.

The Titans lead the WIAC in batting average (.336), runs (179), hits (279), triples (12), RBIs (167), walks (89), on-base percentage (.402), fielding percentage, ERA, shutouts (10), and runs allowed (53).

Hannah Ritter leads the Titans with a batting average of .490 and 48 hits. Abby Garceau leads the team in runs (28), while Sophie Wery has seven of the Titans 10 home runs this season. Wery leads the team in RBIs (34) as Brianna Davis has nine stolen bases for the Titans.

Maddie Fink leads the team with an ERA of 1.21 and 12 complete games. Sydney Nemetz has an ERA of 1.28 with four shutouts. In just over 20 innings pitched, Abby Freismuth has an ERA of 1.35 and two saves for the Titans.
