UWO in Eagle Open and Fighting Chance Invite

LA CROSSE, Wis./JOLIET, Ill.- The UW-Oshkosh women's track and field team sent athletes to compete in the unscored UW-La Crosse Eagle Open and St. Francis Fighting Chance Invite on Friday and Saturday (May 12-13).

Track Event Results

The 4x100-meter relay squad finished second in 48.86 seconds.

Senior Sydney Fricke took third in the 5,000-meter run with a third-place, 20:07.90 finish.

After qualifying for the final round of the 100-meter dash, senior Rachel Castelli finished third in 12.46 seconds. She also took fourth in the 200-meter dash in 25.29 seconds.

In the first day of the St. Francis Fighting Chance Invite in Joliet, Ill., sophomore Amelia Lehman moved to 10th in school history in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:30.06 for fourth in the event.

Junior Meygan Benzing also climbed the leaderboard on Friday, running an 11:31.67 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase to move to 11th in school history.

Field Event Results

Sophomore Megan Hunt finished the long jump in second place with a best jump of 17' 11.5" (5.47m), a team season best that is also a personal record and the 16th-furthest jump in program history.

Looking Forward

The Titans will return to action for the North Central College (Ill.) Cardinal Combined Events Qualifier on Monday and Tuesday (May 15-16).
