Titans Grab Three All-America Honors in National Indoor Meet

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The UW-Oshkosh women's track and field team finished the two-day NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships with three All-America honors.

The Titans sent athletes from four events and competed in the finals for all four of them.

Friday Track Events

Sophomore Amelia Lehman qualified for the mile run finals when she placed seventh in the preliminary round, running a team season best 4:53.50 for seventh. 

Junior Cyna Madigan also made it to the finals in the 800-meter run, placing eighth in the preliminaries with a personal record and team season best 2:11.92. Senior Libby Geisness placed 15th with a personal season best 2:14.65.

Friday Field Events

Junior Brenna Masloroff earned All-America Sixth Team in the 20-lb. weight throw with a mark of 18.13 meters. 

Saturday Track Events

Lehman took eighth in the final round of the mile run, running the event in 4:56.13. Madigan took eighth in the 800-meter run in 2:21.26. Both earned All-America Eighth Team nods. 

Saturday Field Events

Masloroff finished the shot put in 15th place with a best throw of 13.13 meters. Senior Katie Fruth took 19th, throwing 12.77 meters. 

Looking Forward

The Titans return for the outdoor season on Saturday April 1 to compete in the UW-Platteville Pioneer Opener and the WashU (Mo.) Invitational.
