Titans Head Into Final Qualifier Weekend With Two Top-Five #EventSquads

OSHKOSH, Wis.- Heading into final qualifier week, the UW-Oshkosh women's track and field team holds two top-five #EventSquads and two individual national rankings. 

#EventSquad Rankings

The Titan women rank fourth and fifth in the 800-meter run and 20-lb. weight throw, respectively. Sophomore Cyna Madigan, junior Libby Geisness, freshman Josie Makurat and junior Meygan Benzing make up the 800-meter squad that average a 2:14.49 finish. The weight throw squad that averages 16.11 meters per throw includes junior Brenna Masloroff, sophomore Bobbi Blahnik, junior Kicky Barrette and senior Katie Fruth.

Individual National Rankings

Masloroff sits at seventh in the nation with an 18.28-meter weight throw. Madigan's season-best adjusted 2:12.26 time in the 800-meter run ranks ninth nationally.

Last Week's Highlights

In last weekend's WIAC Championships at UW-Stout, the Titans finished in third with 65 points.

Sophomore Amelia Lehman earned All-WIAC Second Team in the mile run (5:00.83) along with Masloroff in the shot put (12.94 meters). Madigan's 2:13.78 time in the 800-meter dash earned her All-WIAC Third Team. Freshman Haley Kanitz was also named to the All-WIAC Third Team in the pole vault with an 11.17-meter mark. Masloroff was named to the All-WIAC Sportsmanship Team after the meet concluded.

Where the Titans are Competing

The Titans will compete in the final qualifying meets at Ripon College (Wis.) and Wartburg College (Iowa).
