Titans Finish Strong in Two-Day Warren Bowlus Multi & Open

MENOMONIE, Wis.- In the two-day Warren Bowlus Multi & Open hosted by UW-Stout on Friday and Saturday, the UW-Oshkosh women's track & field team finished with 10 top-three finishes in the unscored meet.

The pentathlon started and finished on Friday afternoon. Junior Anna Bubolz finished in seventh with 2,205 points and sophomore Megan Hunt took eighth with 1,988 points. 

Track Events

Senior Rachel Castelli took third (7.94) in the 60-meter dash, followed by sophomore Molly Greeninger in fourth (7.99) and sophomore Andrea Glaz in fifth (8.00).

Three Titans took the top spots in the 200-meter dash. Castelli won the event with a time of 26.82, Glaz took second in 26.87 and junior Alaina Wagner took third with a time of 26.99. 

Senior Mikayla Jackson took sixth (27.20) and junior Vanessa Jenneman took seventh (27.47).

Freshman Josie Makurat led the Titans in the 800-meter run, finishing in 2:23.21 and taking fourth place. Senior Meygan Benzing took sixth with a time of 2:23.50.

Freshman Katie Krause took seventh (6:02.71) in the mile run as the only Titan to finish in the top-eight.

Freshman Olivia Stenzel, Makurat, Benzing and Wagner took third in the 4x400-meter relay with a 4:26.06 time. Wagner, Castelli, Jenneman and sophomore Jayda Dobeck took fifth (4:38.96) and Glaz, Jackson, Greeninger and junior Liz Hren took sixth (4:45.52).

Field Events

In the pole vault, freshman Haley Kanitz recorded 3.43-meter jump, good for a tie for second as the only Titan to finish the event.

Jenneman also took second in the long jump with a 5.19-meter jump, followed by Bubolz, who took eighth with a 4.73-meter jump.

Kanitz placed third in the triple jump, finishing with a 10.44-meter mark.

Senior Katie Fruth led the Titans with a third placed finish in the shot put, throwing a 12.46-meter mark. She was followed by junior Brenna Masloroff in fourth with a 2.43-meter throw. 

Masloroff finished in second with a 16.73-meter throw in the 20-lb. weight throw. Sophomore Bobbi Blahnik took seventh, throwing 14.77 meters.

Looking Forward

The Titans return to action on Saturday, Feb. 4 in the Ripon College Red Hawk Invitational.
