Women's Swim and Dive Set for WIAC Championships

OSHKOSH, Wis.—The UW-Oshkosh Titans women's swimming and diving program is set to compete at the 2023 WIAC Swimming and Diving Championships February 15-18 in Brown Deer, Wisconsin. Action will take place at the Walter Schroeder Aquatic Center as the Titans serve as the tournament hosts. 

Tickets are available for purchase online only with two options available. Spectators can purchase day passes or all session passes to watch the event.

Grace Fergus was named the WIAC Swimmer of the Week, claiming two individual first place finishes and one relay first place finish in the Titans final dual of the regular season against Ripon College on February 4.

Fergus, Brianna Smith, Angela Satterlee, and the 200 freestyle relay squad (Francesca Schiro, Smith, Brianna Wesenberg, and Fergus) all swam season-best times in the dual against Ripon College. 

Top Times (Best Times Only)

Schiro holds the No. 4 fastest time in the conference in the 50 freestyle and the No. 3 time in the 100 freestyle. Schiro has the second fastest time in the 200 freestyle.

Cadence Showalter holds the third fastest time in the 500 freestyle and holds the sixth fastest time in the 100 freestyle. Showalter has top-15 times in the 200 backstroke, 200 IM, and 400 IMs. In the 100 butterfly, Showalter sits with the fourth fastest time and holds the third fastest time in the 200 butterfly.

In the distance races, Smith and Showalter hold top-15 times in the 1000 freestyle. Smith sits at No. 7 in the conference for fastest time in the 1650 freestyle.

Fergus sits with top-20 time in the 200 backstroke. Fergus has a top-15 time in the 100 butterfly.

Abbi Priestley leads the conference in 1-meter diving, 11 dives and sits at No. 8 in the conference for 1-meter diving, six dives. On the 3-meter board, Priestley leads the conference at 11 dives and No. 8 with six dives.
