Priestley Places Second as Titans Break School Record

BROWN DEER, Wis.—Abbi Priestley took second in the women's 3-meter diving and a record fell on the first day of the 2023 WIAC Swimming and Diving Championships for the UW-Oshkosh Women's Swimming and Diving team.

The Titans sit in third in the standings after five events.

In the 800 freestyle relay, the Titans squad of Cadence Showalter, Francesca Schiro, Brianna Smith, and Brianna Wesenberg broke the school record with a time of 7:48.01. The Titans took second in the event.

The Titans swam a time of 1:49.76 in the 200 medley relay as Grace Fergus, Schiro, Showalter, and Smith took fourth.

Priestley took second in the 3-meter dive, recording a dive score of 416.80. Priestley score qualifies her for the NCAA Zone Diving. Maya Indiraraj competed in the B finals of the 3-meter diving, scoring a 331.65. 

Action continues tomorrow with preliminary action starting at 10 a.m. in Brown Deer.
