Titans Open Outdoor Season At WashU Distance Carnival

ST. LOUIS, Mo.- The UW-Oshkosh track & field teams opened the outdoor season at the WashU Distance Carnival on Thursday and Friday (March 28-29).

Cyna Madigan (Jr. • Rosendale) finished the women's 800-meter run in fourth place with a 2:11.68 and Libby Geisness (Sr. • Waukesha) took 2:15.69 to finish the race.

Amelia Lehman (Jr. • Oshkosh) ran a 4:33.79 in the women's 1,500-meter run for sixth.

Other Titan finishers that placed outside the top eight included; Gracie Buchinger (So. • Kimberly) in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase (11:17.96), Dwight Hosni (Jr. • Cedarburg) in the men's 800-meter run (1:54.61) and three in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase. Jake Krause (Jr. • Hortonville) ran a 9:13.16, Trent Chadwick (So. • Poynette) a 9:40.98) and Jason Ford (Sr. • Verona) a 9:52.37.

The Titans will return to the track on Saturday, April 6 for the UW-La Crosse Ashton May Invitational. The first events are scheduled to begin at noon.
