Titans Finish NCAA Championships with Eight All-America Honors

ROCHESTER, N.Y.- The UW-Oshkosh track and field teams concluded competition at the 2023 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships with eight All-America honors.

The 49th edition of the national meet was held in Rochester at the Polisseni Track and Field Complex, hosted by St. John Fisher University (N.Y.) and the Rochester Sports Commission.

Entering the day with two All-America nods from the decathlon, the Titans earned six more over the course of the final day. The men's team finished with 17 points for 13th place, while the women's team accumulated seven points for a six-way tie for 37th place.

Cyna Madigan (So./Rosendale) took third in the women's 800-meter run final, running a 2:10.35 after qualifying with a personal record of 2:09.79. The finish earned her the first outdoor All-America honor of her career and second overall.

One of five competitors that broke the men's triple jump facility record, Jonathan Wilburn (Sr./Evanston, Ill.) finished in fourth with a best skip of 50' 1.75" (15.28m). He earned his fourth outdoor All-America nod and eighth overall.

Also placing fourth was the men's 4x100-meter relay squad with a time of 40.58 seconds. Joey Kean (Jr./Middleton), Aaron Richardson (Gr./Middleton), Londyn Little (So./Columbia) and Rashaad Henderson (Jr./Racine) all ran a leg of the race. Kean earned his first All-America, Richardson earned his third on the event and third outdoor nod, Little earned his second career All-America and Henderson earned his third career nod.

Little earned another All-America later in the afternoon, taking seventh place in the men's 200-meter dash finals in 21.52 seconds.

Steven Potter (Sr./Oak Creek) set a personal record in the men's 1,500-meter run final with a seventh-place time of 3:46.93. He was one of seven to break the facility record. The finish earned him his second outdoor 1,500-meter run All-America honor and the fifth of his career.

In the women's 1,500-meter run, Amelia Lehman (So./Oshkosh) ran a personal record time of 4:26.63 for eighth place and her second career All-America honor. She was one of nine to break the facility record.

Also competing on Saturday were Caleb Cornelius (So./Racine) in the men's high jump and Jake Krause (So./Hortonville) in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase final. Cornelius finished ninth with a height of 6' 7.5" (2.02m) and Krause took 11th in 9:12.77.
