Titans Win Two Throwing, One Jumping Event Against Pointers

The UW-Oshkosh men's track & field team got wins from Jack Flynn in discus, Joshua Rivers in the high jump and Jackson Sheckler in the shot put during a five-event meet against UW-Stevens Point on Thursday (April 29) at the Oshkosh Sports Complex.

The non-scoring challenge featured competitions in the discus, hammer throw, high jump, javelin and shot put.

Flynn captured first place among 11 contestants in the discus with a measurement of 164-9. Sheckler finished fourth in the event with a distance of 136-8.

Rivers defeated two other participants in the high jump with a height of 6-2 3/4.

Sheckler won the shot put with a throw of 55-5 3/4 while UW-Oshkosh's Nick Tegtmeier placed second with a mark of 48-10. The event had eight other competitors.

The Titans also had Bo Koehn finish third in the javelin with a toss of 121-3 and Max Schoening fourth in the hammer throw with a fling of 161-10.

UW-Oshkosh will be represented at both the UW-Platteville Border Battle and Wartburg College (Iowa) Friday Night Lights Meet on Friday (April 30).
