WIAC Honors Titans’ Relay Team With Weekly Track & Field Award
The WIAC named UW-Oshkosh's 1,600-meter relay team of Adrian Girone, Ryan Potter, Steven Potter and Amitai Wheat as its Kwik Trip Men's Track Athletes of the Week for meets held Feb. 1-7.
Girone, Wheat and the Potters recorded the fastest 1,600-meter relay time of the 2021 NCAA Division III indoor season with their winning performance of 3:19.63 during UW-Oshkosh's 82-70 season-opening victory over 19-time defending WIAC champion UW-La Crosse on Feb. 6 in Kolf Sports Center.
UW-La Crosse finished second in the 1,600-meter relay with a time of 3:23.36.
Tom Kohn of UW-Stevens Point was selected as the WIAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week.
