Titans’ Season Ends in Eau Claire

EAU CLAIRE, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh women's soccer team's season ended in Eau Claire on Tuesday night. They faced the No. 3 seeded Blugolds on Simpson Field as the No. 6 seed in the first round of the WIAC Championship, with a final score of 0-2. 

Match Recap

The match remained scoreless at the half, with Eau Claire outshooting Oshkosh 5-2. Goalkeeper Mallory Kerhin saved four shots for the Titans and Kennedy Boll saved one for the Blugolds. The Blugolds scored their first goal of the night three minutes into the second half, with a kick from Sydney Spencer, assisted by Molly Henderson. Emma Stange scored Eau Claire's second goal in the 70th minute, from Maggie Conway and Megan Hansen. The Titans shot five times in the second half to the Blugolds' eight, with none going in. 

Titan Leaders

Defensive starter Mackenzie Bennett had two shots in the match, both on goal. Alayna Clark shot two on goal as well. Rylie Kaufmann, Rosie Rojewski and Gabby Born each had a shot, none on goal. Mallory Kerhin saved six of the eight shots on goal she faced.

Blugold Leaders

Kori Millis led Eau Claire with three shots, two on goal. Emma Stange went one score for two shots on goal. Sydney Spencer shot two on goal, one going in. Megan Hansen and Maggie Conway had two shots, one on goal and an assist. Four Blugolds had one shot. Kennedy Boll faced four shots on goal, saving them all.
