Titans Set to Host Pioneers

OSHKOSH, Wis.—Returning to conference play, the UW-Oshkosh Titans (4-5-4, 0-1-2 WIAC) are set to host the UW-Platteville Pioneers (9-3-1, 2-1 WIAC) on Oct. 15 at 4 p.m. at J. J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium.

The Titans posted a decisive 4-0 victory over St. Norbert on Monday, October 10, which saw Alayna Clark score her first collegiate brace. Molly Jackson and Greta Steines added goals for the Titans in the game. Alexia Poulos assisted Jackson with the first goal of the day and has recorded back-to-back assists in the last two games for the Titans.

Two of the last three games for the Titans have seen the Titans score braces as Grace Herrmann scored her first collegiate brace on Oct. 8 (UW-Stout).

Titans Numbers

Steines leads the Titans with six goals scored this season. Rylie Kaufmann adds five goals as Herrmann and Gabby Born have four goals apiece. Born leads the Titans with assists, recording five this season.

In the goal for the Titans, Mallory Kerhin and Emma Sauriol have recorded two shutouts each and a combined 75% save percentage.  

The Titans have the second highest scoring average in the conference (2.61), are third in shots (211), and lead the league in points (6.85 per game). Clark is in the top-10 for shots on goal in the conference, as Steines and Kaufmann sit in the top-10 for goals.

Previewing the Pioneers  

The Pioneers are led by Katherine Ohlwein, Alyssa Peterson, Lydia Smith, and Maddi Spencer-Strong with four goals each. Smith leads the team and the league in assists (11). Additionally, Smith leads the league in points (1.5 per game). 

Emma Ball has started all games for the Pioneers in the net, with a save percentage of 83% and four shutouts.

Platteville is second in the league in point at 6.83 per game.
