Each week during the 2020-21 academic year, the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference will feature two student-athletes (one male and one female) from one of its eight institutions for a "Student-Athlete Spotlight" Q & A segment. Why did you choose to attend UW-Oshkosh?

Loved the cross country and track & field teams and their coaching staffs.

What other clubs/organizations on campus are you involved in?

NextGen and TAP (Titan Advantage Program).

What do you like most about competing in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and being a NCAA Division III student-athlete?

The thing I love most about competing in the WIAC and Division III is how competitive it can get, especially around the championship portion of the season.

Messy.

What is your greatest sports moment?

Establishing a personal-best time of 1:51.86 in the outdoor 800-meter run during my freshman year.

Do you have any words of advice for younger/upcoming student-athletes?

Don't be afraid to fail sometimes or make mistakes. It's all part of the process.

What is your favorite thing to do off the court/field with your teammates?

Disc golf at Garbage Hill.

If you could trade places for a day with a person, who would it be and why?

Sultan Kösen. He is the tallest living male at 8 feet, 2.82 inches, so being that tall for a day would be interesting.

What is your dream job? 

Musician or Professional Runner.

Win a national championship in the 800-meter run
Attend the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Cappadocia, Turkey

Do you have any pre-game/pre-event superstitions or rituals? If so, what are they?

I sleep in my racing singlet and running shorts the night before a meet.

What is your biggest "pet-peeve"?

People who make Harry Potter jokes towards me.
