Titans Set to Face Profs in NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen

OSHKOSH, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh men's basketball team will take their fifth trip to the NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen on Friday March 10 when they take on Rowan University (N.J.) at 3:45 p.m. The Titans will face the Profs in Alliance, Ohio on Mount Union University's campus.

Previewing the Titans

Oshkosh reached the Sweet Sixteen with an 86-56 win over Fontbonne University (Mo.) in the First Round and a 51-50 win over Hope College (Mich.) in the Second Round.

The Titans average 72.8 points per game and hold opponents to 62.7 points per game. They shoot 45.5 percent from the field, 36.4 percent from three and 67.4 percent from the line and hold opponents to 42.2 percent from the field, 32.1 percent from three and 68.5 percent from the line. Senior forward Levi Borchert leads the Titans, scoring 15.3 points per game with a 55.2 shooting percentage from the field, 23.5 shooting percentage from three and 53.9 shooting percentage from the line. Borchert also paces the team with 11.0 rebounds per game. Senior guard Hunter Plamann is shooting a team-high 41.3 percent from three. Plamann has recorded 77 assists, senior guard Eric Peterson leads with 47 steals and sophomore Jonah Rindfleisch has blocked 33 shots.

Previewing the Profs

Rowan reached the Sweet Sixteen with an 83-77 win over Cal Lutheran in the First Round and an 83-72 win over Utica University (N.Y.) in the Second Round. 

The Profs score 83.0 points per game and hold opponents to 74.5 points per game. They hold a 49.3 shooting percentage from the field, an 18.9 shooting percentage from three and a 73.0 shooting percentage from the line, while holding opponents to 38.6 percent from the field, 38.1 percent from three and 68.9 percent from the line. Junior forward Ja'Zere Noel leads the team with a 19.9 point per game average, shooting 49.4 percent from the field, 34.2 percent from three and 82.6 percent from the line. He also paces the Profs with an 8.1 rebounding average. Senior guard Connor Dickerson leads with 67 assists and 61 steals while Noel has recorded 38 blocks.
