No. 23 Titans Set to Travel to River Falls

OSHKOSH, Wis.- The No. 23 nationally ranked UW-Oshkosh men's basketball team will travel to UW-River Falls to face the Falcons on Saturday, Feb. 4 with tip-off scheduled for 5 p.m. In the first meeting of the year, the Titans defeated the Falcons by a score of 68-55 in the Kolf Sports Center on Saturday, Jan. 7 during Alumni Day.

Previewing the Titans

Oshkosh currently holds a 16-5 (9-1 WIAC) record with a seven game win streak and have a 5-3 road record. They hold opponents to a league-low 59.7 points per game, which also ranks 11th in the nation. The Titans also hold opponents to league-lows in field goal percentage (40.9), three-point percentage (32.4) and combined rebounds (645, 30.7 per game). Senior forward Levi Borchert leads the Titans with 311 points, shooting 51.3 percent from the field, 21.4 percent from three and 58.1 percent from the line. He also leads the league with 233 total rebounds, 87 offensive rebounds and 11.1 rebounds per game. Senior guard Hunter Plamann ranks in the top-three with 50 made three pointers and a 44.6 shooting percentage from three. Senior guard Eric Peterson is tied with UW-Platteville's Brady Olson for first with 35 blocks and sophomore forward Jonah Rindfleisch sits at fourth with 24 blocks.

Previewing the Falcons

River Falls sits at 10-11 (4-6 WIAC). They won their last conference game on Feb. 1 when they took down UW-Stout at home by a score of 63-47. They hold a 5-4 home record this season. The Falcons lead the league with 786 combined rebounds, averaging 37.4 per game. They rank second in offensive rebounds (228) and first in defensive rebounds (558) with a 6.0 rebounding margin. Sophomore center Rodrick Payne sits at third in the league with 360 points, averaging 17.1 points per game. He is also third with 139 total rebounds (39 offensive), sitting at second in defensive rebounds. Payne also ranks in the top-three with 130 made field goals and 92 made free throws. Junior forward Marshall Holland's 49 offensive rebounds ranks third. Sophomore guard Logan Jedwabny has made 58 threes, averaging 2.8 per game, good for second in the league.
