Titans Headed to Menomonie for WIAC Matchup

OSHKOSH, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh men's basketball team is headed to Menomonie for the first time in 1,106 days to take on UW-Stout on Saturday, Jan. 21. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. in Johnson Fieldhouse.

The Titans defeated the Blue Devils 92-69, when Stout came to Oshkosh on Saturday, Dec. 3. Senior forward Levi Borchert led with 19 points and 14 rebounds, joined by five other Titans in double digit points. Sophomore guard Brody Fox led the Blue Devils with 17 points and sophomore center Aidan Shore led with seven rebounds.

Previewing the Titans

The Titans own a 13-5 (6-1 WIAC) record, sitting atop the league standings. They have won their last four games. Oshkosh has allowed the fewest points in the league allowing an average of 59.0 points per game, 5.2 less than second place UW-Eau Claire. They own the highest scoring margin at 10.1. They hold their opponents to 41.4 percent from the field, 32.7 percent from three and 68.2 percent from the line; all top-three. In rebounding, they hold opponents to a league-low 30.2 rebounds per game. Borchert leads the league with 192 rebounds, also leading in each individual rebounding category. Senior guard Hunter Plamann is fourth with 38 made threes, averaging 2.1 per game. Sophomore forward Jonah Rindfleisch ranks in the top-four with 21 blocks, averaging 1.2 per game.

Previewing the Blue Devils

The Blue Devils sit at 4-12 (1-6 WIAC) and have dropped their last nine games. They lead the league with a 36.7 total rebounding average. Stout also leads with 73 blocks, averaging 4.56 a game and 14.38 assists per game. Fox leads the league in points (414), scoring 25.9 points per game. He ranks fourth with a 56.6 field goal percentage and leads Stout with 22 steals. Three Blue Devils are in the top-five in blocks. Shore leads Stout with 105 rebounds (30 offensive).
