Titans Get Back in Win Column; Borchert Joins 1,000-Point Club

DE PERE, Wis.- The No. 19 nationally ranked UW-Oshkosh men's basketball team got back in the win column on Tuesday night with a 68-50 win over the St. Norbert College (Wis.) Green Knights. Senior forward Levi Borchert scored 16 points in the win to join the 1,000-point club. It was the teams' 90th meeting, first facing off in the 1917-18 season. With the win, the Titans increase their all-time lead to 56-34.

First Half Summary

Hunter Plamann quickly scored the first basket of the game to give the Titans the only lead they needed all night and was followed by Borchert, kicking off the career milestone game. It wasn't until after Oshkosh scored nine points that the Green Knights connected on their first basket of the night. A ten-point run by Oshkosh increased the lead from three points to their first double digit lead of the night and separated the Titans from the Green Knights.

First Half Leaders

Oshkosh shot 52.0 percent from the field, 50.0 percent from three and 100.0 percent from the line for their highest overall shooting percentage in a half this season (67.3 percent). Second Half Summary

The second half was a half of runs, but the lone six-point run by the Green Knights starting at 14:02 remaining was not enough to overcome the seven-point and game-ending 10-point runs the Titans made to put the game out of reach once and for all.

New 1,000 Career Point Member

Borchert joined the 1,000-point club on Tuesday night with 16 on the night, shooting five-of-six from the field and six-of-seven from the line. He became the 37th player in program history to reach the milestone, and the first since Adam Fravert when he joined in 2020. It took Borchert 74 games to reach the milestone. That is a number of games that had the 2020 season not been shortened, he would have likely reached the milestone in the 2021-22 season.
