Titans Headed up to St. Norbert

OSHKOSH, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh men's basketball team will be headed up to De Pere to take on the St. Norbert College Green Knights on Tuesday night. The teams will face each other at 7 p.m. in the Mulva Family Fitness & Sport Center.

Previewing the Titans

Currently sitting at No. 11 in the nation in D3hoops.com's top-25 poll, the Titans currently have a 7-3 (2-0 WIAC) record. Their longest winning streak this season was five games between a 63-57 win over Nebraska Wesleyan University on Oct. 19 and their 92-69 home conference opener win over UW-Stout on Nov. 3. They currently hold a 53-38 lead over the Green Knights in the all-time series, winning last year's matchup 73-54. The Titans lead the conference with the fewest points allowed per game (59.6) and have allowed exactly 100 less points than second place UW-Eau Claire's 696 points. As a team, the Titans also lead the league with 8.50 steals per game. Levi Borchert leads the league in total (109), offensive (41) and defensive (68) rebounds, averaging 10.9 per game. Cole Booth has not missed a free throw yet, making all 21 of his attempts this season. Eric Peterson is tied with UW-Whitewater's Jameer Barker for the most steals in the league at 19.

Previewing the Green Knights

The Green Knights have a 6-3 (4-1 NACC) record so far this season. They have allowed the fewest points in the conference (567), only allowing 63.0 points per game. Shooting 84.6 percent from the line, Michael Payant ranks second in the conference as well as ranking third in steals per game (2.7), recording 24 steals on the season. Payant leads the Green Knights with 118 points, 57 rebounds (five offensive) and 27 assists.

Watching Records

With 18 points scored in Saturday's game at Ripon College (Wis.), Borchert currently sits at 994 career points. He has averaged 14.30 points per game this season and has only scored less than six points in one game. If he reaches the 1,000-point milestone, he will become the 37th player in school history to do so, and the first since Adam Fravert did it in 2020.
