Titans Return Home to Face Eagles

OSHKOSH, Wis.- After playing in the Small College Basketball Champions Classic in Aberdeen, S.D. last weekend, the Titans will return to Kolf Sports Center to take on the Edgewood College Eagles on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Oshkosh, who holds a 3-2 overall record, is currently ranked No. 3 in the nation by D3hoops.com.

Previewing the Titans

The Titans, who got back in the win column with a win over Nebraska Wesleyan University on Saturday, is 1-0 on the season at home with a season-opening 76-63 win over Lawrence University (Wis.) on Nov. 8. The Titans are shooting 41.3 percent from the field, with a 28.6 percent average from three and 65.3 percent from the line. Levi Borchert leads Oshkosh with 70 points, going 46.2 percent from the field, 25.0 percent from three and 61.8 percent from the line. His 49 rebounds (20 offensive) are also good for best on the team. Eric Peterson leads with nine steals and 16 assists, owning a 5.3 assist-to-turnover ratio. Peterson is one block behind Jonah Rindfleisch's six on the season.

Previewing the Eagles

The Eagles are currently 0-2 on the season, with home losses to the University of Dubuque (82-71) and UW-Stevens Point (75-71). Edgewood is shooting 49.6 percent from the field including 33.3 percent from three and 58.3 percent from the line. Jake Schroeckenthaler leads the Eagles, scoring an average of 21.5 points per game. He has shot 57.6 percent from the field and 83.3 percent from the line, for 43 points in the season. He is also Edgewood's top rebounder and blocker, pulling in 21 rebounds (nine offensive), averaging 10.5 per game and blocking three shots. Caden Nelson leads Edgewood in both assists (10) and steals (7). 

Admission to Tueday and Saturday

For the games on Tuesday and Saturday, admission is free with a non-perishable food item as part of an initiative to help families in the Oshkosh community.
