Titans to Face Blugolds in Regular Season Finale

OSHKOSH, Wis.—Closing the 2022 regular season on the road, the UW-Oshkosh Titans football squad is set to take on the Blugolds of UW-Eau Claire on Nov. 12. Kickoff is set for 1:10 p.m. in Eau Claire.

The Titans are coming off a season-best offensive performance against Stevens Point. The Titans recorded a season-high 598 yards of offense, with 446 rushing yards. The Titans shutout Stevens Point for the first time since 1978.

Oshkosh by the Numbers

The Titans offense is averaging 240.6 passing yards per game and 146.9 rushing yards per game for 387.4 yards of offense per game. The Titans have recorded 24 touchdown passings and 12 rushing touchdowns this season.  Defensively, the Titans have recorded eight interceptions for 152 total yards.

Kobe Berghammer leads the Titan offense with 237.2 passing yards and 444 rushing yards per game. Berghammer has thrown 22 touchdowns this season and averages eight yards per throw.

Top rushers for the Titans include Peter MacCudden with 39.9 yards per game (359 yards this season) and DJ Stewart with 32.7 yards per game (294 yards this season).

Frequent targets of Berghammer are Trae Tetzlaff, Tony Steger, and Terrell Carey. Tetzlaff leads the way with 76 yards per game (684 yards this season, averages 20.1 yards per catch, seven touchdowns). Steger adds seven touchdowns, 57.9 yards per game, and 12.1 yards per carry (521 yards this season). Carey is the final Titan with 300 or more receiving yards this season (363) and averages 45.4 yards per game and 21.4 yards per carry.

Tory Jandrin leads the Titans defense with 9.7 tackles per game (87 this season). Carson Raddatz (7.3 tackles per game), Bryce Edwards (5.6 tackles per game), and Kyle Scharenbroch (4.7 tackles per game) have recorded 40 or more tackles this season. Brandon Kolgen (4.3 tackles per game) leads the team in tackles-for-loss at 10.5 (35 total yards) and sacks at 4 (18 yards).

Eyes on Eau Claire

The Blugolds of Eau Claire are averaging 22.8 points per game while being outscored by their opponents with 23.7 points per game.

The Blugolds averaged 333 yards of offense per game, with 214.3 yards coming from the passing game. The Blugolds defense has caused some interruptions for their opponents, scoring nine defensive touchdowns.

Harry Roubidoux leads the Blugold offense, averaging 200.6 yards per game. Roubidoux has thrown 15 touchdowns and 10 interceptions this season. Ivan Ruble leads the Blugolds in rushing yards, averaging 84.8 yards per game and six touchdowns this season. Isaac Garside averages 21.6 yards per game (3 touchdowns this season) while Nate Baranek has 10.7 yards per game.

Roubidoux finds Garside as a frequent target with Garside recorded 44 receptions and averaging 61.1 yards per game. Nick Kudick averages 61 yards per game in receptions and leads the team with seven touchdown receptions. Joe Swanson averages 30.9 yards per catch as Nolan Stans averages 23.3 yards.

Leading the defensive threat for the Blugolds, Ryan Kuechle has 78 tackles this season (9.8 per game) and 2.5 tackles-for-loss (12 yards). Jake Cochnauer had 57 tackles (6.3 per game), while Sam Schradle records 54 tackels (6 per game) as three Blugolds have tallied 50 or more tackles this season. AJ Firminhac leads the Blugolds in sacks (3.5 for 17 yards) and tackles-for-loss (6.5 for 21 yards).

National Recognition

The Titans offensive line was named to the D3football.com National Team of the Week following the season-best performance against Stevens Point.
