Garry Maynard joined UW-Oshkosh baseball as the top assistant coach on Wednesday (June 19) as announced by head coach Kevin Tomasiewicz after a national search.

"I am excited to welcome Garry to the Titan Baseball family", Tomasiewicz said. "Throughout the interview process, Garry's enthusiasm and passion for coaching and the game of baseball was very evident." Tomasiewicz mentioned the staff and players look forward to working with Maynard "to help Titan baseball reach our ultimate goal of a National Championship."

Maynard comes to UW-Oshkosh from Concordia University-Chicago (Ill.) where he served as a graduate assistant coach, focusing on outfield and hitting. He is a 2023 graduate of Concordia-Chicago and played for the Cougars from 2020-23, earning accolades such as Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Scholar-Athlete, NACC All-Conference Second and First Team, College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, and American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-Region Third Team.

Maynard begins his duties on July 1 and will work with hitters and infielders.
