Kachel Named WIAC Hitter Of The Week

The WIAC has selected UW-Oshkosh's Bobby Kachel (Jr. • La Crosse) as its Hitter of the Week. The award was for games played April 29 - May 5.

Kachel batted .400 (8-20) with three home runs and nine runs batted in as UW-Oshkosh posted a 5-1 record in games against 23rd-ranked UW-Stevens Point and UW-Platteville.

Kachel had four extra-base hits in the six games, compiling a slugging percentage of .900 and an on-base percentage of .520. He scored seven runs and walked four times.

Kachel went 2-for-7 in UW-Oshkosh's doubleheader split with UW-Stevens Point on May 1. He belted a two-run homer during the Titans' 12-7 victory in the nightcap.

In UW-Oshkosh's doubleheader sweep of UW-Platteville on May 5, Kachel went 5-for-8 with a home run and five RBI. He went 3-for-4 with a three-run homer and five RBI during the Titans' 11-9 victory in the nightcap.

Brad Kohn of UW-Stout was chosen as the WIAC Pitcher of the Week.
