Titans Travel South For 12 Baseball Games

UW-Oshkosh gets the 2013 baseball season underway with 12 games in Fort Myers, Florida from March 16-23.

The Titans open with a doubleheader against Nichols College (Mass.) on Saturday. UW-Oshkosh then faces St. Joseph's College (N.Y.) and Utica College (N.Y.) on Sunday. St. Joseph's won the 2012 Eastern College Athletic Conference title with a 12-4 record.

Plymouth State University (N.H.), a 20-22 squad last year, plays doubleheaders against the Titans on both March 18 and 23.

UW-Oshkosh takes on the University of Minn.-Morris for two games on March 21. The only nationally ranked opponent is #24 Johns Hopkins University (Md.). The Titans will play one contest on March 22 against the Jays, who went 25-16-2 last season en route to the Centennial Conference championship.

Six starting position players return for the Titans, including 2B Tyler Kamps (Sr. • Appleton) and SS Michael Polcyn (So. • Ripon). Kamps has started all 115 games of his career while totaling 135 hits and 73 RBI. Polcyn topped UW-Oshkosh last year with a .355 batting average.

The Titans, who posted a winning record eight of the last 10 years, have their home opener against Marian University on March 27.
