Titans Have Two All-WIAC First Team Selections

Outfielder Nolan Fadness (Jr. • Eau Claire) earned his third straight distinction and third baseman Blake Berger (Jr. • Star Prairie) his second as UW-Oshkosh placed two members on the 2010 All-WIAC Baseball Team.

Fadness set a WIAC record with nine triples. His 24 stolen bases was also tops in the conference, while he ranked fifth in the league with 53 runs scored. Fadness finished with a .352 batting average, four home runs, eight doubles, 25 walks and 33 runs batted in. He compiled a 23-game hitting streak during the first half of the year.

In a doubleheader sweep over Lawrence University, Fadness went 7-for-9 with six runs scored and seven runs batted in. He also compiled four hits and three runs during a win against UW-Stout. Fadness led UW-Oshkosh to a victory with his three-hit, four-run batted in performance against Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.), while also adding three-hit games in a triumph over UW-Platteville and a loss to UW-Whitewater.

He started all 40 contests in 2009, batting .329 with five doubles, three triples, 44 runs scored, 16 stolen bases and 22 runs batted in.
