Titans Tally Six Top 25 National Performances At Midwest ELITE Invitational

Riley Kindt improved her position on this season's NCAA Division III Top 25 Indoor Performance List in three categories following UW-Oshkosh's participation at the UW-Whitewater Midwest ELITE Women's Track & Field Invitational Saturday (Feb. 12) in Whitewater. 

Kindt moved to second nationally in the long jump, 15th in the 60-meter hurdles and 20th in the high jump.

Kindt defeated 30 other contestants in the long jump with her winning measurement of 19-2 1/2. UW-La Crosse's Hannah Zenkovich finished second in the event with a leap of 19-0.

In the 60-meter hurdles, Kindt placed second among 26 participants with a time of 8.94 seconds. UW-La Crosse's Emma Lawrence won the race with a time of 8.84.

The high jump featured Kindt finishing third among 26 entrants with a height of 5-4 1/4. Breya Christopher of Wartburg College (Iowa) claimed first place with a mark of 5-7 1/4.

UW-Oshkosh's Alexandria Demco, Emma Warr and Brenna Masloroff also recorded Top 25 national performances.

Demco won the mile run with a time of 4:55.34 that ranks eighth nationally. Aubrie Fisher of Wartburg College finished second among the event's 31 runners with a time of 5:00.04 and Hannah Lohrenz of UW-Oshkosh third at 5:05.24.

Warr placed fourth in the pole vault with a height of 11-8 that ranks 23rd in the country. Yasmin Ruff of Washington University in St. Louis (Mo.) won the event of 16 participants with a mark of 12-2.

Masloroff secured second place among 48 entries in the 20-pound weight throw with a cast of 53-0 3/4 that ranks 24th nationally. UW-La Crosse's Skye Digman won the event with a distance of 57-3 while UW-Oshkosh's Skyler Genz finished eighth with a mark of 49-6 1/4.

Washington University in St. Louis captured the team title with 164 points. UW-La Crosse finished second in the nine-team field with 157 points while Wartburg College placed third with 83, Loras College (Iowa) fourth with 65 and UW-Oshkosh fifth with 54.

Loras College entered the meet ranked first in the NCAA Division III Indoor Rating Index calculated by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, UW-La Crosse second, Wartburg College fourth, Washington University in St. Louis fifth and UW-Oshkosh eighth.

UW-Oshkosh hosts the Titan Challenge Saturday (Feb. 19) in Kolf Sports Center.
