Alexandria Demco and Sydney Thompson won two events apiece to lead UW-Oshkosh to a fourth-place finish at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship (presented by Culver's) held Friday and Saturday (May 7-8) in River Falls.

Demco earned both of her victories on the track as she recorded first-place times of 2:13.52 in the 800- and 4:40.52 in the 1,500-meter runs. Lohrenz was a third-place finisher in the 1,500-meter run at the 2019 championship.

Demco, who ranks ninth in the NCAA Division III this season with previous performances of 2:12.76 in the 800-meter run and 4:32.81 in the 1,500-meter run, gave UW-Oshkosh its seventh 800-meter run title and sixth 1,500-meter run championship during the last 10 league meets held.

Thompson placed in three throwing events, including the shot put, where she beat 22 other challengers with her winning and nation-leading measurement of 48-10 3/4. UW-Oshkosh's Morgan Florek finished sixth in the event with a toss of 44-5 1/4 that ranks 16th nationally.
