Titans Win Nine Events, Post Four Top-10 National Performance Listings

Emma Warr's nation-leading height in the pole vault highlighted UW-Oshkosh's nine first-place performances during its non-scoring dual meet with the UW-Whitewater women's track & field team on Saturday (Feb. 13) in Whitewater.

Warr defeated five other contestants in the pole vault with her measurement of 11-5 3/4. Her height shares this season's top NCAA Division III listing for the event with UW-La Crosse's Ashley O'Connell.

Three other Titans cracked this season's national top-10 performance list on Saturday as Sydney Thompson recorded the third-best shot put mark with her first-place throw of 45-2 1/2, Vanessa Jenneman the sixth-best long jump with her second-place measurement of 18-0 1/4 and Alexandria Demco the ninth-best 3,000-meter run with her first-place time of 10:27.44.

Jenneman and Thompson also added second-place finishes with their time of 27.00 seconds in the 200-meter dash and distance of 50-10 1/4 in the 20-pound weight throw. Jenneman additionally contributed a third-place time of 1:02.26 in the 400-meter run.

Titan Mikayla Jackson was involved in a pair of winning sprints. She won the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.08 seconds and posted a time of 26.69 seconds in the 200-meter dash to share the top performance with UW-Oshkosh teammate Kyra Huber. Jackson and Huber also joined Anna Bubolz and Valerie Sweeney for a fourth-place time of 4:29.62 in the 1,600-meter relay.

UW-Oshkosh's Drue Polka was a part of two winning performances as well. She won the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.55 seconds while joining Elizebeth Hren, Alexis Reichardt and Daisy Wilson for a first-place time of 4:26.21 in the 1,600-meter relay.

Other event winners for the Titans were Morgan Florek in the 20-pound weight throw with a measurement of 52-1 and Libby Geisness in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:20.85. Florek also finished second in the shot put with a toss of 41-7 1/4 while Geisness ran with Meygan Benzing, Amelia Lehman and Lauren Rabe for a second-place time of 4:26.54 in the 1,600-meter relay.

Rounding out UW-Oshkosh's second-place listings were Hannah Lohrenz in the 3,000-meter run with her time of 10:39.01 and Cara Volz in the triple jump with her skip of 35-1.

Six other third-place finishes were recorded by Titans, including Benzing who posted a time of 2:30.63 in the 800-meter run. UW-Oshkosh received additional second-place performances from Allie Marineau in the 20-pound weight throw with a mark of 47-4 1/2, Brenna Masloroff in the shot put with a distance of 39-7 1/4, Nakayla Morgan with a time of 9.81 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles, Amanda Starzynski in the long jump with a leap of 16-8 3/4 and Alaina Wagner in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.04 seconds.

UW-Oshkosh's inventory of its 31 top-four finishes concluded with six other fourth-place efforts, including Lehman's time of 2:32.62 in the 800-meter run. The Titans also acquired fourth-place performances from Rachel Castelli in the long jump with a measurement of 16-7 3/4, Taylor Christensen in the pole vault with a height of 9-0 1/4, Katie Fruth in the shot put with a flight of 38-7, Karina Perez in the triple jump with a distance of 31-3 and Kassie Wicherski in the 20-pound weight throw with a toss of 46-4 1/4.

UW-Oshkosh, which ranks seventh nationally in the Division III Indoor Track & Field Rating Index compiled by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, visits UW-Whitewater again on Friday (Feb. 19) for another dual meet against the Warhawks.
