Titans Place Third At UW-Stevens Point Quadrangular

UW-Oshkosh scored 23 of its 96 points in the 200-meter dash to finish third at a women's track & field quadrangular hosted by UW-Stevens Point on Saturday (Feb. 13).

UW-La Crosse captured the team title with 269 points, while UW-Stevens Point placed second with 110 and UW-Whitewater fourth with 65.

The Titans swept the top three mentions in the 200-meter dash as Emily Reichenberger finished first in 25.74 seconds, Taylor Sherry second in 26.06 and Olivia Seeley third in 26.23. UW-Oshkosh's Caitlyn McCormick placed eighth in the race with a time of 26.81 seconds.

Sherry also won the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.76 seconds while UW-Oshkosh's Kasey Ederer leaped to a winning height of 5-4 1/4 in the high jump.

Other multiple place winners for the Titans were McCormick, Reichenberger, Seeley, Elizabeth Abhold and Karina Marchan.

McCormick finished fifth in the 400-meter run with a time of 59.74 seconds, while Seeley and Reichenberger placed second and third in the 60-meter dash with times of 7.85 and 7.93 seconds, respectively.

Abhold placed in a pair of throwing events, finishing second in the 20-pound weight throw with a distance of 55-7 and fourth in the shot put with a measurement of 41-3. Marchan ranked second in the long jump with a leap of 16-8 3/4 and eighth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.15 seconds.

Also finishing fifth for UW-Oshkosh were Michaela Welsh and Lauren Wrensch. Welsch ran to a time of 11:38.63 in the 3,000-meter run while Wrensch recorded a distance of 16-0 1/2 in the long jump.

Sixth-place results went to the Titans' Danica Harrison and Alyssa Ryan. Harrison posted a time of 2:22.60 in the 800-meter run while Ryan sprung to a height of 11-1 3/4 in the pole vault.

Four other Titans finished eighth – Sarah Finn in the triple jump with a distance of 32-7, Ellie Infante in the 20-pound weight throw with a distance of 47-6 1/2, Brenna Martyn in the long jump with a measurement of 15-4 1/4 and Jessica Stamn in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 20:33.71.

UW-Oshkosh also had four athletes compete at the University of St. Thomas Open on Friday (Feb. 12) in St. Paul, Minn.

Hannah Kuenzi finished third and Leah Rendflesh eighth in the 5,000-meter run with times of 18:05.50 and 18:40.41, respectively, while Erica Munyan placed sixth in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:36.50.

The Titans' Isabella Tremonti added a 15th-place time of 2:24.31 in the 800-meter run.

UW-Oshkosh will have athletes compete at the Titan Challenge in Oshkosh and the Big Dawg Invitational in Stevens Point on Saturday (Feb. 20).
