Titans Return to the Mat Against Pioneers; Travel to Cornell
OSHKOSH, Wis.-Returning to action, the UW-Oshkosh Titans wrestling squad returns to action this week, hosting the UW-Platteville Pioneers on January 12 for a 7 p.m. conference dual. The Titans continue action this week, competing at the Mike Duroe Invitational, hosted by Cornell College (IA) on January 14. Action is set to start at 9 a.m. in Mt. Vernon, Iowa.
Beau Yineman holds a record of 12-4 in competitions this season. Yineman and Cody Welker sit at five pins each. Welker maintains a record of 11-7 against attached opponents. Luc Valdez maintains a record of 11-6 with two pins this season.
The Pioneers of Platteville are coming off an appearance at the NWCA National Duals. The Pioneers faced conference rival UW-Eau Claire on the final day as the Pioneers finished the tournament 14 of 24 teams.

At the NWCA National rankings, released on January 3, 2023, Yineman sits at No. 5 in the national rankings at 197. In the Upper Midwest regional rankings, Valdez sits at No. 6 at the 125-weight class and Yineman at No. 2 in the region.
In the D3wrestle.com rankings, released on Dec. 26, 2022, Yineman is No. 2 at 197 for the Titans. Valdez is an honorable mention at 125.
The Titans are ranked in the team rankings from Open Mat, sitting at No. 23 in the team tournament rankings. Yineman holds the top spot at 197 in the Open Mat rankings.
