Women’s Cross Country Program Cited For Academic Success

The UW-Oshkosh women's cross country program continues to be praised for its academic performance.

Head coach Eamon McKenna's Titans compiled a 3.33 cumulative grade-point-average this past fall semester to earn recognition from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for the sixth straight year.

A total of 216 NCAA Division III women's cross country programs ended the 2020 fall session with a 3.10 GPA or better, including Geneva College (Pa.) which owned the nation's top mark at 3.91. Massachusetts Institute of Technology ranked second nationally with a 3.88 GPA while Colorado College listed third at 3.864 and Chatham University (Pa.) fourth at 3.860. Other WIAC programs honored for their academic success were UW-River Falls at 3.78, UW-Eau Claire at 3.67, UW-La Crosse at 3.66, UW-Whitewater at 3.58, UW-Stevens Point at 3.57, UW-Platteville at 3.51 and UW-Stout at 3.45.

UW-Oshkosh had seven members of its women's cross country program finish the fall semester with 3.50 cumulative GPA or better. Daisy Wilson led the Titans with a 4.00 GPA while Megan Berg followed at 3.90, Elizabeth Reddeman at 3.82, Sydney Fricke at 3.75, Paige Larson at 3.63, Jana Nehila at 3.56 and Katelyn Puetz at 3.54.
