Titans Run To Perfection

The UW-Oshkosh women's cross country team was perfect in defeating Ripon College and Alverno College in a triangular held Saturday (Sept. 19) in Green Lake.

UW-Oshkosh compiled a perfect team score of 15 points by owning the meet's top seven performers. Ripon College finished second to the Titans with 50 points and Alverno College third with 83.

UW-Oshkosh's Hannah Kuenzi completed the 6,000-meter course in a winning time of 21:45, while Titans Erica Munyan finished second in 22:02, Cheyenne Moore third in 22:13, Kylee Verhasselt fourth in 22:21 and Leah Rendflesh fifth in 22:25.

The Titans' Danica Harrison placed sixth and Isabella Tremonti seventh with times of 22:39.

Karla Perez led Ripon College with her eighth-place time of 23:36. Dianne Pedroza finished second for the Red Hawks and 12th among the meet's 27 runners with a time of 24:55.

Alverno College was paced by Kailey Huba's 22nd-place time of 28:39.

UW-Oshkosh also had Courtney Holland finish ninth in 23:33, Hannah Thorn 10th in 24:21, Rhea Fiorita 11th in 24:31, Jesse Stamm 15th in 25:50, Taylor Lindblad 16th in 26:00, Allie Broeniman 17th in 26:05, Betsy Gray 19th in 26:49 and Lauren McMicking 20th in 27:59.

The Titans are off until they compete at the Notre Dame Invitational on Oct. 2 in South Bend, Ind.
