Harrison Collects All-Academic Award

UW-Oshkosh's Danica Harrison has been named to the 2014 NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country All-Academic Team by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Harrison, an education major, finished 55th to help UW-Oshkosh place seventh at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional held Nov. 15 at the Lake Breeze Golf Club in Winneconne. She also helped the Titans rank second at the WIAC Championship held Nov. 1 with a 27th-place result.

In order to be eligible for All-Academic recognition, honorees must have a cumulative grade point average of least 3.30 and finish in the top 25 percent of finishers at regionals. A total of 326 NCAA Division III student-athletes were honored by the USTFCCCA, including 13 from the WIAC.

Amy Regan of Stevens Institute of Technology (N.J.) was named Scholar-Athlete of the Year while Johns Hopkins University (Md.) was selected Scholar Team of the Year.
