Titans Finish Third At Gene Davis Invitational
UW-Oshkosh had four runners in the top 14 to post a third-place
finish at the Gene Davis Invitational on Saturday (Oct. 8) in
Appleton.
The team title went to UW-Whitewater (23 points), as UW-Stevens
Point followed in second with 61, UW-Oshkosh third with 65 and
Lawrence University fourth with 83. Lake Forest College (Ill.)
concluded the five-team event with its total of 133.
Finishing seventh for the Titans was Kelsey Sweeney (Jr. •
Verona) in a time of 25:26, along with Alexandria Mahoney (Fr.
• Spring Green) 10th in 25:34, Mariah McMullen (So. •
Byron, Ill.) 13th in 25:51, Kim Falk (Fr. • Poynette) 14th in
25:55 and Michelle Murray (So. • Waunakee) 23rd in 26:42.
UW-Oshkosh’s other competitors were Gabrhael Walman (So.
• Franklin), who took 27th at 27:07, Carly Brown (Sr. •
Belleville), who earned 31st at 27:36, and Jenny Dedolph (So.
• Tigerton), who listed 44th at 29:01.
UW-Whitewater owned the top two individuals in Alyssa Duncan
(23:51) and Maddy Roznos (24:06). Following in third was Emily Muhs
(Lawrence University) at 24:09, as Katherine Larson of UW-Stevens
Point (24:32) earned fourth and Janna Wise of UW-Whitewater stood
fifth at 25:00.
UW-Oshkosh will host the Brooks Invitational on Saturday (Oct. 15)
at the Lake Breeze Golf Club in Winneconne.
