Cazzola Captures NCAA Midwest Regional Title, Titans Seventh

UW-Oshkosh competed in the 6,000-meter NCAA Division III Midwest Regional at Saukie Golf Course in Rock Island (Ill.) on Saturday (Nov. 12), taking seventh with a total of 239 points.

Washington University (Mo.) took first place among the 38 teams with a total of 24 points, followed by UW- Eau Claire in second with 115, University of Chicago (Ill.) in third with 146, North Central College (Ill.) in fourth with 150 and UW-Stevens Point in fifth with 188.

UW-Oshkosh's Christy Cazzola (Jr. • Kaukauna) finished first among the 264 women with a time of 21:31. Taking second, third and fourth for Washington University were Erica Jackey, Elizabeth Phillips and Lucy Cheadle in 21:53, 21:53 and 21:55, respectively. Rounding out the top five was Krista Cota of North Central College in 21:57.

Also running for UW-Oshkosh were McKenzie Kelly (Jr. • New Richmond) 38th in 23:09, Allie DeBaker (So. • Green Bay) 47th in 23:24, Kelsey Sweeney (Jr. • Verona) 65th in 23:47, Morgan Engelhart (So. • Oregon) 91st in 24:16, Tori Johnson (Jr. • Valders) 102nd in 24:28 and Katelyn Brooks (Fr. • Winneconne) 178th in 26:01.
